Buffalo Wild Wings Inc. settled its lawsuit with Cincinnati-based competitor Buffalo Wings & Rings.
Terms of the settlement are confidential, but intellectual property lawyers who were not involved in the dispute said the chicken wing chain’s lawsuit may have done its intellectual property portfolio more harm than good.
Buffalo Wings & Rings will now not use yellow in its logos, interior walls or in the restaurant’s color scheme.
The world's best eaters are scheduled to compete to eat the most buffalo wings in 12 minutes at the Wingstop World Wing-eating Championship in Dallas, TX.
Competitors will include Joey Chestnut, who won his fourth consecutive hot dog eating title last July 4th in Coney Island, New York. He now looks to add another Major League Eating title to his legendary body of work. Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas, a 100-pound eating machine. Thomas has won four consecutive titles at the National Buffalo Wing Festival (2007-10). Last year she topped Chestnut and a field of 12 other men in Buffalo, New York. The #2 ranked eater, Pat "Deep Dish" Bertoletti, a mohawked chef from Chicago, holds world records in 29 foods including grits, ice cream and jalapenos.
